1. Current Status, Position
Currently a Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences and the programme leader for the three year MSc in Clinical Pharmacy Practice.
2. Education
Anita Weidmann obtained her PhD from Robert Gordon University in Biomedical Sciences in 2008. After which she spend some time in Canada working at the Apoptosis Research Centre, Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, before returning to Aberdeen to take up my current position as Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy at the Robert Gordon University.
3. Research Area
Dr. Weidmann is specialized in the education of clinical Pharmacy on both an undergraduate and postgraduate level. Her research interests focus on the association between diabetes and obesity where she tries an amalgamate both the scientific research (molecular cell signaling and the use of antioxidants as potential therapeutic agents) and the more practical aspects of pharmacy (weight management service development in community pharmacy).
