1. Current Status, Position
Assistant Prof Dr Inese Sviestina is currently a Hospital/Clinical Pharmacist at the Children Clinical University Hospital in Riga. She is responsible for clinical pharmacy activities. Inese Sviestina is also an assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine University of Latvia. She is also a Member of the EAHP Scientific Committee and the ECDC Advisory Forum.
2. Education
Assistant Prof Dr Sviestina studied Pharmacy at the Riga Stradins University (RSU), where she obtained a PhD (Dr Pharm) in clinical pharmacy for her work on antimicrobial stewardship and surgical prophylaxis.
3. Research Area
Assistant Prof Dr Sviestina’s research focuses on medicines use in children including the role of different excipients and antimicrobial stewardship and consumption analysis.
