  • 1978-1994: Adjunct at the Department of Biochemistry Medical University of Bialystok (MUB);
  • Since 1994: chief of the Department of Medicinal Chemistry, MUB;
  • 1998-2001; 2008- till now: Vice-Dean;
  • 2001-2008: Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy, MUB.
  • Since 1978: Member of Polish Pharmaceutical Society, (chairman of Division in Bialystok since 2004);
  • Since 1978: Polish Biochemical Society  (chairman of Division in Bialystok 1996-2002);
  • Since 1988: Federation of European Connective Tissue Societies (secretary 1988-1990);
  • Since 2007: Committee For Therapy and Drug Science, Polish Academy of Science;
  • 2008-2010: Committee for Research and Development of Science, National Science Centre (2010-2012).

Fellowship at: National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, USA (1986-1988, 1990-1992); Max-Planck Institute of Biochemistry,  Germany (1990); Visiting Scientist at National Cancer Institute, Frederick, USA (1997, 2001).

3. Research Area

Expertise on molecular mechanisms of disturbances in cellular metabolism in the course of inflammatory and neoplastic diseases, identification of targets for experimental pharmacotherapy and evaluation of molecular mechanisms of drug action.
