1. Current Status, Position

Dr Outi Lapatto-Reiniluoto is currently a Medical Adviser in clinical pharmacology and pharmacotherapy at Helsinki University Hospital, Helsinki, Finland. She works as a Consultant and also teaches younger doctors specialising in clinical pharmacology as well as pharmacists at the same hospital. Her scientifical work includes papers about poisonings, interactions and medical safety.

2. Education

Dr Lapatto-Reiniluoto studied medicine in the University of Helsinki and became licensed doctor 1991. She finalised her specialication in internal medicine in 1999, in clinical pharmacology and pharmacotherapy in 2000 and obtained a PhD in medicine in the University of Helsinki in 2001.

3. Research Area

Dr Lapatto-Reiniluoto’s scientific work is focused on medical safety including aspects from poisonings and interactions to risk medicines and polypharmacy.
