Seminar 9 – Chronic infections, the involvement of the hospital pharmacist

1. Current Status, Position

Hospital pharmacist, PhD student, Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre.

2. Education

Klaartje de Kanter graduated in Pharmacy from the Utrecht University in 2004. She then worked as a pharmacist at the Diakonessenhuis in Utrecht for a year. In 2005 she moved to the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre to follow her hospital pharmacist training, which she completed in 2009. Afterwards she started her specialisation in clinical pharmacology.

3. Research Area

She is now working at the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre as a hospital pharmacist with special interest in geriatrics and patients needing parenteral nutrition. In addition, she is a PhD student working on the clinical pharmacology of drugs used in the treatment of hepatitis C infections.
