The EAHP Board, elected for three-year terms, oversees the association’s activities. Comprising directors responsible for core functions, it meets regularly to implement strategic goals. Supported by EAHP staff, the Board controls finances, coordinates congress organization, and ensures compliance with statutes and codes of conduct.

Current position
Prof. Dr. Jörg Breitkreutz is currently a pharmacist at HHU Düsseldorf. He is responsible for research & development in pharmaceutics and teaching activities for pharmacists and industrial pharmacists. Prof. Dr. Breitkreutz is also professor at the Institute of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics and the Managing Director thereof. Prof. Dr. Breitkreutz serves as a German delegate and as the Chair of the Paediatric Formularium subgroup at the European Directorate for Quality in Medicine and Healthcare (EDQM) in Starsbourg, France.
Education
Prof. Dr. Breitkreutz studied Pharmacy at the University of Münster, Germany, and became a licensed pharmacist in 1992. In 1992, he also obtained the diploma from the University of Greifswald, Germany and in 1996, he obtained a PhD in pharmaceutical technology from University of Münster for his work on excipient-excipient interactions. After two years with the pharmaceutical company Thiemann Arzneimittel (c/o Organon) in Waltrop, Germany for product coordination activities, he returned to University of Münster for his habilitation. He obtained his venia legendi in 2004 from University of Münster, and received immediately after his present professorship at HHU Düsseldorf in 2004.
Research area
Prof. Dr. Breitkreutz`s research focuses on paediatric formulations, advanced solid dosage forms such as (oro)dispersible tablets and minitablets, film preparations, three-dimensional printing, and process analytical technologies of investigational drugs, off-patent drugs and orphan drugs.
