1. Current Status, Position

Dr. Roberto Frontini retired from the position of Director of Pharmacy at the University Hospital Leipzig (Germany) 2017 and he is since 2019 alternate member of PRAC (Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee) at European Medicine Agency (EMA).

2. Education

Dr. Roberto Frontini studied pharmacy at the University of Hamburg and became licensed pharmacist in 1988. In 1993, he obtained the PhD (Dr.rer.nat.) and worked at the hospital of the University of Lübeck until 1995. In 1996, he obtained specialisation degree in Hospital Pharmacy and become Head of the Pharmacy of the St. Franziskus-Hospital in Cologne. From 2001 to 2017 he was Director of Pharmacy at the University Hospital of Leipzig. He was from 2011 to 2017 Qualified Person of the Production Unit for Investigational Medicinal Products of the same pharmacy. He retired in 2018 and is since 2019 alternate member of PRAC.

3. Research Area

Dr. Frontini research and activity focus is on patient safety and automation in hospital.
