1. Current Status, Position

Dr Jane Carthey is a Human Factors Expert who works in hospital, mental health and community settings. Her work involves embedding human factors into the design of healthcare systems and leading incident investigations. She also maintains a research portfolio and has published on organisational resilience, human factors and the measurement and monitoring of safety.

2. Education

Dr Carthey studied  Psychology at the University of Manchester before going on to obtain an MSc in Work design and ergonomics and a PhD in human factors at the University of Birmingham.
