1. Current Status, Position

Director of the Hospital Pharmacy at the Venitian Oncology Venetian Oncology Institute – Padua

2. Education

  • 1978: Pharmacy degree at the University of Padua, Italy
  • 1981: Major in Hospital Pharmacy at the University of Milan, Italy
  • 1985: Fellowship at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, USA
  • 1988: Course on Clinical Pharmacy, Hopital Santa Creu, Barcelona, Spain
  • From 1988 up today: Postdoctoral classes in clinical pharmacokinetics, artificial nutrition, compounding (sterile and non sterile laboratories), drug information, pharmacoeconomics, antimicrobial therapy, oncology pharmacy, biostatistics and pharmacoepidemiology, quality assurance, health care management.

3. Research Area

Dr. Palozzo deals with pharmaceutical care in oncology and related health policies. In his Institution he leads researches in the field of pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacoeconomics. Currently he is appointed as national representative in the oncology area of the Italian Society of Hospital Pharmacist (SIFO).
