Elfriede Dolinar awarded title of Professor

Elfriede Dolinar, past vice president of EAHP was awarded the professional title of "Professor" by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture.

Mr. Kurt Nekula, Section Director of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture,  commended Prof. Dolinar for her outstanding achievements as an adult educator and pharmacist.  She was from 1993 to 2011 the director of the hospital pharmacy of the Vienna General Hospital, the largest hospital pharmacy in Austria. During her leadership, a number of important innovative steps were implemented and the resulting new quality standards put into place enable the hospital to achieve ISO 9001 certification.  As a result, she was able to establish the AKH hospital pharmacy as an important partner in the conducting of clinical trials. Her commitment to staff training was reflected in the organization of training courses, the establishment of a training fund and membership in vocational training to Commission of the Austrian Chamber of Pharmacists. As Vice-President of the European Association of Hospital Pharmacists, she was also active on an international level.
