The Society’s goals are to:
- advocate for pharmacists’ and pharmaceutical assistants’ professional, economical and legal rights in Latvia;
- promote public health in Latvia;
- improve the pharmacists’ and pharmaceutical assistants’ qualification.
The Hospital pharmacists section of the Pharmacists’ Society of Latvia represents 100 members working in 33 hospital pharmacies.
Pharmacists working in hospitals have the same status as those working in community pharmacies. Hospital pharmacists do not have a special training in hospital pharmacy.
