Dr Karapinar is hospital pharmacist-epidemiologist.

Dr. Karapinar is a PharmD and has a PhD in Pharmacoepidemiology.

Work experience:
  • Worked in following areas of hospital pharmacy: research, epidemiology, geriatrics, nursing homes;
  • Teacher for pharmacy students at Utrecht University for their hospital pharmacy traineeship.
Work experience previously:
Teacher for pharmaceutical consultants (specialised pharmacy technicians).

  • Medication safety and transitional pharmaceutical care;
  • Medication safety and transitional pharmaceutical care;
  • Medicines Reconciliation on Admission and Discharge;
  • Medicines Reconciliation during ambulatory clinic visits;
  • Continuity of pharmaceutical care post-discharge;
  • Patient empowerment/patient needs;
  • Unplanned readmissions within 30 days after discharge.
