HEALTH-LOG-AI Project launched to advance AI competencies in European healthcare logistics

EAHP, UNISI, UIC, SNS and Artelnics are pleased to announce the launch of a new two-years project, co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme, and aimed to address the rapid evolution of AI by developing a holistic AI literacy framework and an innovative learning methodology toolkit for healthcare logistics professionals and service providers.

30 April 2026 – Brussels

HEALTH-LOG-AI is driven by the urgent need for healthcare logistics professionals to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively and safely navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of AI technologies. While the healthcare logistics sector is undergoing rapid transformation driven by digitalisation and artificial intelligence, significant gaps remain in the preparedness of the workforce, particularly among professionals operating in the final stages of the supply chain, to effectively adopt and implement AI-driven solutions. These gaps continue to affect efficiency, resilience and the overall performance of healthcare systems.

HEALTH-LOG-AI aims at responding to this need by equipping healthcare logistics professionals, including hospital and community pharmacists, supply chain managers and last-mile service providers, with the knowledge and competencies to effectively understand and apply AI technologies in their daily activities. The project will develop a holistic AI literacy framework, AI-focused training materials and blended learning modules aligned with EU standards, implement pilot training programmes across partner countries, and establish a multi-stakeholder collaboration network across healthcare professionals and managers, academia and industry.

By bridging the gap between technological innovation and workforce skills, HEALTH-LOG-AI aims to support the digital transformation of healthcare logistics systems in Europe, contributing to greater interoperability, workforce mobility and shared innovation capacity across EU Member States.
