Current Status, Position

Prof Dr Gemma Echarri is currently an Anaesthesiologist at the University of Navarra Hospital. Her work is distributed in the surgical and Intensive Care area. Prof Dr Echarri is also Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra.

Education

Prof Dr Echarri studied medicine at the University of Navarra and obtained a Degree in Medicine en 2001. She attended the speciality in anesthesiology at the University of Navarra Hospital from 2002 to 2006. In 2017 she obtained a PhD in Medicine at the University of Navarra for her work on acute kidney injury in cardiac surgery.

Research Area

Dr Echarri’s research focuses on the early detection of acute kidney injury in critically ill patients and the role of biomarkers of acute kidney injury.
