The EAHP Board, elected for three-year terms, oversees the association’s activities. Comprising directors responsible for core functions, it meets regularly to implement strategic goals. Supported by EAHP staff, the Board controls finances, coordinates congress organization, and ensures compliance with statutes and codes of conduct.

1. Current Status, Position
Dr Filipa Alves da Costa (Pharmacy Degree, MSc, PhD) is an invited Assistant Professor at ISCSEM (pharmaceutical services; health policy; clinical pharmacy and public health). She is also a researcher at CiiEM (Centre for Interdisciplinary Research Egas Moniz) and consultant for the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society, focusing on strategic professional development (PPS).
Dr Alves da Costa is a researcher at the Epidemiology Department of the Portuguese Oncology Institute, focusing on effectiveness of oncolytic medicines (ROR – Sul, IPOL).
2. Education
Dr Alves da Costa obtained her Pharmacy Degree from ISCSEM in 1998 and her MSc in Community Pharmacy, area Pharmaceutical Care from the Faculty of Pharmacy, from the University of Lisbon in 2002. In 2006, she obtained a PhD from the School of Pharmacy, University of London, area practica & Policy.
3. Research Area
Dr Filipa Alves da Costa has been focusing her research on pharmacoepidemiology and outcomes research, namely on the responsible use of medicines. Within pharmacy – practie research, Filipa Alves da Costa has a special interest on the development of innovative pharmacy services, on adherence and polypharmacy.
