1. Current Status, Position

Ms. Santolaya Perrin (Bsc in Pharmacy) is a hospital pharmacist who currently works in the emergency department of the Hospital Universitario Príncipe de Asturias. She is responsible for drug review and reconciliation in the emergency department and continuity of pharmaceutical care.

2. Education

Ms. Santolaya has a pharmacist degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a degree in Estadistic and Epidemiology from the Universidad Bellaterra Barcelona. She was a  Hospital Pharmacist resident at the Hospital Universitario Príncipe de Asturias, Professor at the University Alcala de Henares in Madrid and Clinical Pharmacists in the emergency room. During her carreer she has worked in different areas, always as a clinical pharmacist in charge of medication review and patient counseling. She has also been involved in teaching students and residents, both at university and in the hospital. 

3. Research Area

Her areas of research are medication adherence, patient counseling, emergency department drug use, reconciliation and continuity of care.
