Stephen Bazire is Chief Pharmacist, Norfolk and Waveney Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, England. His particular interests are user and carer education, and bipolar mood disorder.  He has been a Tutor for the University of London Clinical Pharmacy Diploma, University of Belfast Clinical Pharmacy MSc and the De Montfort University Diploma and MSc in Psychiatric Pharmacy. He was also on sub-group four of the Crown Review ("Review of prescribing, supply and administration of medicines", NHS Executive, March 1999), worked for the Ombudsman and was on the NICE Guidelines Development Group for Bipolar Disorder (issued July 2006).

3. Qualifications

BPharm (Hons), Dip Psych Pharm, MCMHP – Publications & Awards: Author of Psychotropic Drug Directory (24 editions, including USA and Spanish) and GP Psychotropic Handbook (3 editions), total sales 460,000 worldwide. Also various editions of "Your medicines – any questions?" and "Frequently Asked Questions about mental health drugs". In addition, published around 30 chapters and research articles in a variety of journals and books.
