The Portuguese Association of Hospital Pharmacists – APFH is organizing the XII National Congress, which will take place at the Estoril Congress Centre between 20 and 23 November 2019.

It has a Scientific Committee chaired by Prof. Doutor Francisco Batel Marques and an Organizing Committee chaired by Dr. Paulo Tavares de Almeida. Its program will include several plenary sessions, presentations of papers by hospital pharmacists and satellite symposium.

The XII National Congress of APFH, which theme is “Strategic Alliances for the Pharmacist of the Future!”, will take place from 20th to 23rd November at the Estoril Congress Centre, with a program that will continue on the path of training and updating knowledge of pharmacists integrated in hospitals and other health care providing units (www.https://www.apfh.pt/congresso2019/?targetPage=programa).

The Workshop Day will be on the 23rd November. This day of the XII National Congress of APFH has grown and is planned to hold 3 workshops, related to several important areas for the Portuguese Hospital Pharmacy.

On Behalf of the Directing Board of Pan-hellenic Association of Hospital Pharmacists (P.E.F.N.I.) and its President Ms Despoina Makridaki we are pleased to announce our 10th Pan-Hellenic Congress of Hospital Pharmacists, which will take place in Kalamata (Greece), between 10th and 13th of May 2018.

The title of our annual congress is “Moving Towards a Common European Vision for Hospital Pharmacy – The Key Role of Interdisciplinary Collaboration”.
Several current topics of Hospital Pharmacy such as antimicrobial stewardship, oncology pharmacy, management and quality issues, as well as hospital pharmacy specialty, statement implementation and common training framework will be thoroughly discussed. Many lectures will be given in English, since a number of foreign -well established- specialists are invited to participate in our 10th annual congress.
We believe that our congress could be an excellent chance for exchanging experiences and could also become a starting point for further collaboration and mutual interaction.

The Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society (Ordem dos Farmacêuticos) is organizing on October 13th and 14th, at the Lisbon congress Centre, the largest meeting of the Portuguese pharmaceutical area – the Portuguese Pharmacists Congress 2017, under the theme “Medicines for all”.

On October 12th, on the same venue, we will also hold the Pre-Congress Symposium, entitled “Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurship: Doing better”

Professionals, companies, regulators and other healthcare sector stakeholders will gather to analyse the challenges of the Portuguese health system. The debate for new proposals and suggestions for the improvement of healthcare will have national and international approaches. We are aiming at an open, inclusive and convergent discussion around fundamental questions that condition future generations.

Access, equity, safety, quality, efficacy, innovation and evaluation of health technologies are matters not just related to medicines but all the universe of care provided to patients.

Even though this is a Portuguese event, we feel this event to be of extended interest to all pharmacists and students of pharmacy, considering the wide scope of current issues affecting also other regions of the globe. This is also the reason for the invitation of several international speakers that will surely contribute to a high-level agenda.

The Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society is proud to be able to provide access to the event to foreign pharmacists under the same conditions as to Portuguese pharmacists. For that, professionals are only required to present proof of their registration as pharmacists in the country of practice.

1st Symposium on Hospital Pharmacy Practice in Serbia
Friday, 7th April 2017 to Saturday, 8th April 2017, Belgrade, Serbia

Pharmaceutical Association of Serbia and Serbian Hospital Pharmacy Section presents the 1st Symposium on Hospital Pharmacy Practice. This symposium aims to establish a multi-disciplinary forum discussing EAHP statements implementation, the escalating threat of antimicrobial resistance, oncology and clinical pharmacy issues. The intention of the organisers is also to present Serbia’s participation in EAHP projects, and provide clear vision and guidance for hospital pharmacist in the realm of hospital pharmacy development across Serbia.

The official language of the 1st Symposium on Hospital Pharmacy Practice is Serbian, with some presentations held in English.
