1. Current Status, Position

Head of the Pharma Team in the Health Economics Department.
Head of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Pharmaceutical Pricing and Reimbursement Policies located in the Health Economics Department at the Austrian Health Institute.

PPRI & PHIS Project Manager.

2. Education

Sabine Vogler holds the academic degree of „Mag. rer.soc.oec.”, after completion of the graduate program of Commerce at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.

She holds a PhD following doctoral studies at the Department of Economics, Social Policy Unit, at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.

3. Research Area

International, national and regional research on health and pharmaceutical policies.

Knowledge on European health care systems (27 EU Member States, Switzerland): expertise on international health care systems analysis and comparisons.

Pharmaceutical systems: Know-how on reimbursement, pricing, distribution, reforms; generics, innovative medicines and e-pharma; pharmaceutical policy analysis and pharmaceutical policy reporting.

In-depth knowledge on health economics: analysis of health care funding & expenditure, co-payments, health-economic analysis and evaluation.

Analysis of pharmaceutical prices.

Access to essential medicines as a human right.
