Seminar 13 – Highlights of Italian Hospital Pharmacy

1. Current status, position

Research assistant for the Department of Pharmaceutical Science of Florence University.

2. Education

  • Since March 2010: Training in Laboratory of Pharmacoeconomics of the Italian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (SIFO). She works on the data management for a multicenter observational study (still ongoing) held in collaboration with hospital pharmacists belonging to SIFO. She also contributes to the evaluation of new drugs and medical devices for a project within Estav centro (Public body for the acquisition of goods and services for the healthcare system of Tuscany Region) and the University of Florence. The project aims to support the commission of medical products (both drugs and medical devices) of Estav centro.
  • February 2011: Master in Drug Evaluation and Pharmacoepidemiology, University of Bologna, Italy
  • July 2009: Specialisation in Hospital Pharmacy, University of Perugia, Italy
  • July 2004: Degree in Pharmacy, University of Siena, Italy

3. Research area

Her main key area interest is about clinical and economic evaluation according to the value-based approach of innovative drugs and medical devices.
