Current Status, Position

Associate Prof Inga Urtane is currently a Clinical Pharmacist at Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital. She is responsible for clinical trials and clinical pharmacy in the cardiology department. She is also an associate professor at Riga Stradins University, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

Education

Associate Prof Inga Urtane studied Pharmacy at the Riga Stradins University and became a licensed pharmacist in 2009. In 2014, she obtained a PhD in Clinical Pharmacy at Riga Stradins University for her work on causes of variability in clopidogrel efficacy.

Research Area

Associate Prof Inga Urtane’s research focuses on medication adherence among cardiological patients and causes of poor adherence level in outpatient settings in chronically treated patients.
