1. Current Status, Position
Dr Richard Turner is an Academic Clinical Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics with General Internal Medicine. He spends 50% of his time working clinically in both inpatient and outpatient settings in the Royal Liverpool Hospital, and 50% of his time based at the University of Liverpool. He also holds a Health Education England Genomics Research and Innovation Fellowship.
2. Education
Dr Richard Turner graduated in medicine from the University of Cambridge in 2010 and gained Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP) in 2013. In 2018, he received a PhD in Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Liverpool for his work on statin pharmacogenomics.
3. Research Area
Dr Richard Turner’s research focuses on pharmacogenomics, adverse drug reactions, and the impact of medication adherence on drug effectiveness.
