1. Current Status, Position

Dr Thomas Storme is currently a Hospital Pharmacist at Robert Debré Hospital, the largest French paediatric hospital. He is in charge of compounding (CIVAS, including chemotherapies, TPN admixtures, oral drugs) and pharmaceutical quality control. Dr Storme is also Pharmacologist and involved in therapeutic drug monitoring, in paediatric patients.

2. Education

Dr Thomas Storme studied pharmacy at Paris Descartes University and became a licensed pharmacist in 2006. Thomas Storme made his residency at Paris area hospitals. In 2007 he obtained a PhD in medicinal chemistry and experimental pharmacology at Paris Descartes University for his work on the conception, synthesis and evaluation of new ifosfamide analogues designed to lower neurotoxic and nephrotoxic side-effects.

3. Research Area

Dr Thomas Storme’s research focuses on parenteral nutrition, improving paediatric drug compounding and paediatric pharmacology.

4. Conflict of interest:  Dr Thomas Storme was on the Advisory Board of Baxter’s Parenteral Nutrition Compounders held in Chicago in March 2018. He also gave a lesson on paed parenteral nutrition for Fresenius Kabi’s business team.
