The EAHP Board, elected for three-year terms, oversees the association’s activities. Comprising directors responsible for core functions, it meets regularly to implement strategic goals. Supported by EAHP staff, the Board controls finances, coordinates congress organization, and ensures compliance with statutes and codes of conduct.

1. Current Status, Position
Mr Philippe De Buck (MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences) currently serves as Head of the Division Authorisations. Besides this he is also chairman of the Mixed Commission on Borderline Products and visiting professor at the University of Ghent.
Mr De Buck started his professional career in the development of software for pharmacists. After a decade of software development he switched to the Federal Agency for Medicines and Health Products, where he was first active as an Inspector for the Pharmaceutical Crime Unit and later became Head of the Division Authorisations.
2. Education
Mr Philippe De Buck trained as a pharmacist in the University of Ghent.
3. Research Area
Mr Philippe De Buck has been following the elaboration and implementation of the Falsified Medicines Directive since 2009. Besides this he oversees the issuing of activity authorisations for medicines manufacturers and distributors, land pharmacies, trade in controlled substances, blood and tissue establishments, etc. He also specialises in the borderline between medicines and non-medicines.
