1. Current Status, Position

Dr Stephan Luterbacher is currently the Chief Pharmaceutical Officer of the canton of Lucerne and club board member of the cantonal pharmacist association, Switzerland (past president). 

2. Education

Dr Stephan Luterbacher studied pharmacy at the University of Basel and became licensed pharmacist in 1986. In 1995 he obtained a PhD at the University of Basel for his work: “Phytolacca dodecandra l’Herit, investigation on the breeding development and in vitro production of molluscicidal substances”. He worked as QA/QC Manager, Qualified Person, CRA, Study Coordinator, Study Drug Coordinator in the pharmaceutical industry. In 2002 he became Chief Pharmacist in a hospital. In 2007, he was elected by the goverment of the canton of Lucerne as chief pharmaceutical officer.
