Current position
Lotte Vander Elst is currently a clinical pharmacist in UZ Leuven in the pediatric oncology ward and one of the OPAT coordinators of the hospital. There are around 200 OPAT discharges a year, where OPAT coordinators play a key role in transmural care. Next to this, Lotte also focuses on other AMS topics within UZ Leuven hospital.
Education
Lotte studied Pharmacy at the University of Leuven and became licensed pharmacist in 2017. Afterwards she followed the master-after-master of Hospital Pharmacy and became licensed hospital pharmacist in 2020. Since 2020 she works in the hospital pharmacy of UZ Leuven.
Research area
Her research focuses on antimicrobial drugs, on OPAT and on pediatric oncology.
