Current Status, Position

Prof Dr Irene Krämer is the Director of the Pharmacy Department of the University Medical Center, Mainz. She is specialised in oncology pharmacy and practising clinical pharmacy activities in this area. Prof Dr Krämer also holds a professorship for clinical pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Johannes Gutenberg-University, Mainz.

Education

Prof Dr Krämer studied pharmacy at the Johannes Gutenberg- University, Mainz. She obtained a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and completed a postdoctoral thesis in Pharmaceutical Technology with the title: ‘Development, quality assurance, and optimization of ready-to-use parenteral solutions in the integrated cancer care concept’.

Research Area

Prof Dr Krämer’s research focuses on stability and compatibility of ready-to-administer parenteral preparations and inhalation admixtures. In addition, she is doing clinical researches on medication adherence and integrated pharmaceutical care.
