The EAHP Board, elected for three-year terms, oversees the association’s activities. Comprising directors responsible for core functions, it meets regularly to implement strategic goals. Supported by EAHP staff, the Board controls finances, coordinates congress organization, and ensures compliance with statutes and codes of conduct.

1. Current Status, Position
Ms. Ciara Kirke is Clinical Lead of the National Medication Safety Programme in Ireland. She is responsible for leading initiatives to reduce medication-related harm and harm with venous thromboembolism in the public health system. She acts as a medication error expert for the European Medicines Agency and the World Health Organisation.
2. Education
Ms. Kirke studied Pharmacy at Trinity College Dublin and completed her MSc in Clinical Pharmacy at Queen’s University Belfast. She has completed multiple post-graduate diplomas in leadership, management, risk management, quality and is an IHI improvement adviser.
3. Research Area
Ms. Kirke collaborates with researchers in all aspects of medication safety and venous thromboembolism.
