Current position
Jane Moir is currently a Clinical Pharmacy Technician currently working as Study Manager on the PHOENIX for Severe and Multiple Disadvantage study across Scotland – an open, multicenter, parallel group, prospective RCT with parallel economic analysis and process evaluation.
Education
Jane studied Health & Social Care with Open University and has recently completed the second year (of three) of her Masters Degree in Health Research (MRes) at the University of Stirling.
Research area
Jane has worked on several feasibility and pilot studies with the PHOENIX Team across Glasgow and Birmingham. Pharmacist Homeless Outreach Engagement Non-Medical Independent Prescribing (PHOENIX) studies aim to reduce drug deaths and improve quality of life through engagement with health and social care services and meaningful activity. Other studies Jane has worked on have included Tailored Intervention for people with moderate-to-severe Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Co-morbidities delivered by Pharmacists and Consultant respiratory Physicians (TICC-PCP) a multicentre pilot RCT, with parallel economic and qualitative process. Jane has also worked on a Qualitative study, evaluating the Jobs First Programme across the UK.
