1. Current Status, Position

Dr. Torsten Hoppe-Tichy is a Chief Pharmacist at Heidelberg University Hospital for more than 25 years. He is also a Lecturer at School of Pharmacy of Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg teaching Pharmacoeconomics and Clinical Pharmacy. 

2. Education

Dr. Hoppe-Tichy studied Pharmacy at the School of Pharmacy at Technical University of Braunschweig. He became a licensed pharmacist in 1984. In 1989, he finished his PhD in pharmaceutical chemistry. He holds a specialisation in Clinical Pharmacy and in Pharmaceutical Analytics. He is an honorary member of the German Association of Hospital Pharmacists (ADKA).

3. Research Area

Dr. Hoppe-Tichy’s research focuses on antimicrobial therapy, pharmacokinetics and pharmacoeconomics.
