3.  Research Area

• Personalised medicine, individualisation of drug therapy, drug safety with particular focus on:
• Drug-drug interactions (cooperative effect of drug transporters and metabolic isozymes; focus on antiretrovirals, fungistatics, antibacterials, and drugs with narrow therapeutic index) in vitro and in vivo
• Development, implementation, and evaluation of electronic tools for dose individualisation of drugs to individual needs of different patient groups
• Evaluation of drug dosing and administration in clinical settings, development of intervention strategies
• Early drug trials / first-in-man Studies (Phase 0 and Phase I)
