  • 2000-2002: Scientific assistant, university of Basel
  • 2000-2009: Pharmacist, in public pharmacies
  • 2009-2012: Pharmacist, section “pharmaceuticals” in FOPH
  • Since 2012: Head of section “pharmaceuticals” in FOPH

3. Research Area

The section “pharmaceuticals” is responsible for the reimbursement of pharmaceuticals in Switzerland. Their team evaluates the application dossiers for the reimbursement of pharmaceuticals in the outpatient sector. The applications are submitted by the manufacturers. To get reimbursed, the pharmaceuticals have to be efficient, appropriate and cost-effective.
