Description of the training

The Özel Giresun Ada Hospital will provide training on the following Statements:

S 5.1“The “seven rights” (the right patient, right medicine, right dose, right route, right time, right information and right documentation) should be fulfilled in all medicines-related activities in the hospital.

S. 5.2 “Hospital pharmacists should ensure the development of appropriate quality assurance strategies for medicines use processes to detect errors and identify priorities for improvement.”
 
S.5.3 “Hospital pharmacists should ensure their hospitals seek review of their medicines use processes by an external quality assessment accreditation programme, and act on reports to improve the quality and safety of these processes.”
 
S.5.4  “Hospital pharmacists should ensure the reporting of adverse drug reactions and medication errors to regional or national pharmacovigilance programmes or patient safety programmes.”
 
S.5.5 “Hospital pharmacists should help to decrease the risk of medication errors by disseminating evidence-based approaches to error reduction including computerised decision support.

Monday

          Short summary about our hospital pharmacy practice in turkey. all of about publıc hospıtal sıystem and private hospital system. Giving information about medication and drug ıt systems of our hospital.

 

How to managing drugs in our hospital and how to work with multi discipliner teams of our hospital (section 1.1)

 

Using ıt systems in our hospital and how to integrate the systems to national health systems and also giving information about drug trace and tracking systems of turkey (section 1.7)

2nd day

Tuesday

Giving information about quality assurance system of turkey. and strategies about medicine use processes. (Section 5.2)

 

External quality accrediation systems of turkish health ministry (section 5.3)

 

Giving information about procurement process of medicines in our hospital. (section 2.2)

Giving information about policies regarding to use of medicines brought into the hospital by patients. And what we do about them (section 2.7)

 

3rd day

Wednesday

Giving informations about Adverse drug reactions and medication errors information sytems of all our hospital ıt systems and also turkısh pharmacovigilance programmes and materyovigilance programmes (section 5.4)

Giving informations about seven  rights. And how we do in our hospitals.

4th day

Thursday

Giving information about decreasing the risk of medication errors by disseminating evidence based approaches . and Show our computerized systems about it . (section 5.5)

 

Giving informaations about drug storage systems in our hospital.

5th day

Friday

09.00-17.00

Giving information about high risk medicines and what we do to minimise the risk about it. (section 5.6)

 

Giving information about the other commitees in our w-hospitah which the hospital pharmacists included.

 

Duration of the training: ideally 4 weeks, not less than 1 complete week
