The EAHP Board, elected for three-year terms, oversees the association’s activities. Comprising directors responsible for core functions, it meets regularly to implement strategic goals. Supported by EAHP staff, the Board controls finances, coordinates congress organization, and ensures compliance with statutes and codes of conduct.

Following the important Dutch Presidency Council Conclusions on antimicrobial resistance of June 2016, EAHP’s attention has been focused on positively influencing the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC)’s prospective EU Guidelines on prudent use of antimicrobials in human medicine.
TMG will report back on a recent meeting in Stockholm to discuss the consultation responses, including EAHP’s response which called for explicit description of the hospital pharmacist role.
