The EAHP Board, elected for three-year terms, oversees the association’s activities. Comprising directors responsible for core functions, it meets regularly to implement strategic goals. Supported by EAHP staff, the Board controls finances, coordinates congress organization, and ensures compliance with statutes and codes of conduct.
Antimicrobial resistance
The main development in the area of AMR on the European level of relevance to EAHP is the Commission consultation which is currently ongoing. The consultation will shape the Commission communication on a One Health action plan to support Member States in the fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR). More information HERE
The submission deadline is 28th April 2017.
Due to the structure of the consultation (not a lot of opportunities to provide comments) EAHP will submit an accompanying letter detailing EAHP’s key points on AMR such as:
- promoting the role of the hospital pharmacist in antimicrobial stewardship
- calling for greater ambition and use of targets
