Seminars on therapeutic matters at the Congress will explore: multidisciplinary approaches to nutrition; ethics and risks in antibiotic prophylaxis; the potential for European-wide hospital pharmacy standards; the team challenge of cancer; and new approaches to wound care.
Operational seminars will investigate: the implementation of technology in the hospital pharmacy; medication reconciliation; the prescription process; pharmacovigilance challenges; and how to achieve seamless care.
Seminars on conceptual issues will examine: quality management; inter-professional learning; and trends in hospital communication.
A number of workshops will also take place with the aim of improving participant’s knowledge and skills in writing abstracts, facilitating patient involvement and resolving drug related problems.
Finally, the Européenne de Formation pour les Pharmaciens will present 3 showcase models of hospital pharmacy as practiced in France.
