The EAHP Board, elected for three-year terms, oversees the association’s activities. Comprising directors responsible for core functions, it meets regularly to implement strategic goals. Supported by EAHP staff, the Board controls finances, coordinates congress organization, and ensures compliance with statutes and codes of conduct.

Goals
- Promote pharmacists’ participation and progress within the field of hospital pharmacy;
- Promote the knowledge of its members and Continuing Professional Development (CPD);
- Promote evidence-based research within hospital pharmacy, as well as transmit knowledge in the field;
- Communicate and network with international hospital pharmacy societies.
Membership
The Hospital Pharmacy Group within the Pharmaceutical Society of Iceland represents hospital pharmacists working in hospital pharmacies and healthcare institutions and other pharmacists interested in this field in Iceland.
All members of the Pharmaceutical Society of Iceland, interested in hospital pharmacy, can register as members of the professional hospital pharmacists’ group. It is possible to organize subgroups within the professional hospital pharmacists group, also within specific fields of the hospital pharmacy specialization. Each subgroup has a delegate who serves as a formal contact person to the board and a set of simple statutes.

Specialization
There are no requirements to complete hospital pharmacy specialisation to work as a hospital pharmacist in Iceland. Each hospital has an in-house training and professional development program.
