Current position
Friederike Windisch is a Senior Health Expert at the Austrian National Public Health Institute with over 19 years of work experience in her main research area focusing on medical devices.
Education
Friederike holds a master’s degree in health management from the University of Applied Sciences in Krems, Austria, and is currently working on her PhD at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, Austria, on pricing and reimbursement of medical devices.
Research area
Friederike Windisch is the project manager of the Austrian Medical Devices Register and of three EU4Health projects on medical devices (with focus on medical device availability, shortages and supply chain). She also manages the Pharmaceutical Pricing and Reimbursement Information (PPRI) subgroup on medical devices, which is an international network of competent authorities for medical devices to exchange information on pricing and reimbursement policies and to increase transparency in the field.
