Current position
Siobhan Dobie is a hospital pharmacist working in NHS Scotland. She has a specialist role working within the respiratory service, providing inpatient and outpatient care for this patient cohort. Siobhan has a particular interest in education within her role as the Vice Chair of Education and Training for the Guild of Healthcare Pharmacists.
Education
Siobhan obtained a Masters in Pharmacy at the University of Strathclyde in 2020, becoming a qualified pharmacist in 2021 after the pre-registration exam. Upon completion of the post-graduate Independent Prescribing Qualification at University of Strathclyde in 2023, she became a prescribing pharmacist. In 2025, she obtained a certification in Healthcare Research at Robert Gordon University. She has been credentialed by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society at a Post-Registration Foundation pharmacist level, and is currently working upon the Advanced Framework.
Research area
As a prescribing pharmacist, she has established pharmacy presence within the severe asthma multi-disciplinary team, currently leading on the Omalizumab biosimilar switch. She also works within the ward setting to provide evidence-based and patient-centered care for her patients.
