1. Current Status, Position

Mr Lorenz Van der Linden is currently working as a Hospital Pharmacist in a large teaching hospital (UZ Leuven, Belgium). His work focuses on investigating, developing and implementing clinical pharmacy services in selected patient populations (e.g. geriatric inpatients). 

2. Education

Mr Lorenz Van der Linden graduated as a hospital pharmacist in 2008, after which he followed a 2-year post-graduate course in clinical pharmacy. In 2018, he obtained his PhD (KULeuven, Belgium) for his work on improving drug use in older inpatients.

3. Research Area

Lorenz Van der Linden is invested in improving drug use and clinical outcome in complex, multimorbid and frequently polymedicated older persons.

4. Conflict of interest :

Mr Van der Linden is on the advisory board of Bayer and receives logistic support from this company. 

He used to receive speaker fees and logistic support from BMS/Pfizer and still receives speaker fees, logistic support and trial support from Daiichi Sankyo.

He used to receive logistic support from Sanofi.
