1. Current Status, Position

Anna Sieg is a Scientific Officer Networking at Swissmedic, the Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products. In this position, she coordinates national and international activities as part of the Agency’s strategic stakeholder management. Her responsibilities include expanding and implementing bilateral cooperation with partner authorities abroad. Since 2014, she has also been responsible for coordinating activities relating to development cooperation projects.

2. Education

Anna Sieg studied history, religious studies and political science (majoring in international relations) in Zurich, Switzerland. She graduated with a Master of Arts degree in these subjects in 2009. After graduating, she completed an internship at the Swiss Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria, where she worked on various political dossiers. On returning to Switzerland in 2010, she became Consultant Europe at Switzerland Global Enterprise, the Swiss Export Promotion Agency. She was Country Manager for the Nordic countries of Europe and Operational Head of Enterprise Europe Network in Switzerland. In this role, she supported Swiss SMEs in realising their internationalisation plans. In 2012 she has joined Swissmedic as Scientific Officer Networking.
