The EAHP Board, elected for three-year terms, oversees the association’s activities. Comprising directors responsible for core functions, it meets regularly to implement strategic goals. Supported by EAHP staff, the Board controls finances, coordinates congress organization, and ensures compliance with statutes and codes of conduct.

1. Current Status, Position
Mr Beard has worked in NHS for over 30 years in various roles. He is currently Principal Pharmacist at Sunderland Royal Hospital and Operational Manager. He is also pharmacy lead for the Research and Development committee at Sunderland.

- Currently undertaking a professional doctorate.
- In 2001, he contributed to the launch of electronic prescribing at Sunderland.
- In 2009, he helped to link robotic dispensers to electronic prescribing.
3. Research Area
Mr Beard’s publications are based on electronic prescribing and linked to robotic dispensing, and the benefits these bring, and impact on pharmacist working also. This was done as a case study work.
