Current position
Nina Zimmermann has been working as a researcher and project manager at the Austrian National Public Health Institute (Gesundheit Österreich GmbH) since 2009. She has experience in international, national, and regional research on pharmaceutical systems and in the medical device sector. Currently, her research focus lies with rare diseases, the establishment of patient registries and patient safety issues.

Education
Nina holds a master’s degree in Health Management (University of Applied Sciences Krems, Austria) and `European Studies – Management of EU projects’ (University of Applied Sciences, Eisenstadt, Austria).

Research area
Her research focuses on public health, quality management, medical device policies and rare diseases.
