Following successful completion and evaluation of the Baseline survey and the 2015 and 2016 Statements surveys, this year we start the second round of Surveys that will provide us with opportunity to measure the progress in the Statements' implementation. The 2017 survey focuses on the following sections of the European Statements of Hospital Pharmacy:

• Section 2: Selection, procurement and distribution
• Section 5: Patient safety and quality assurance, and
• Section 6: Education and research.

Data from the survey will help to target EAHP activities more precisely to the most important areas, where the level of Statements' implementation is not sufficient and also to identify the most important barriers in implementation efforts. We believe that the results will also be very important and useful for your national associations as well as for the individual hospital pharmacies.
