GA Workshop 2016 CTF
Return to 2016 GA agenda page here.
EAHP workshop feedback is sought in respect to:
- headline remarks on the first draft of the common training framework for hospital pharmacy
- the consultation strategy to take the draft framework towards a position of finalisation by GA 2017
- early strategic considerations about the quality assurance arrangements to support the CTF and its longer term management.
A short preview paper on these topics is available here.
1) The first draft framework
The first initial draft of the common training framework is available here.
To be aware this is still subject to further development by CTF Working Group 1 before release for consultation in Q3 2016. However, early and initial comments (e.g. form of presentation etc) from delegates can be instructive ahead of the next review meeting of WG1 on 25th June.
The two questions on this topic that workshop members are invited to focus on are:
- Please provide some initial feedback on the draft framework that can be instructive to the considerations of CTF WG1’s next meeting on 25 June
- From cursory considerations, does the content of the framework so far match with the current and intended approaches to hospital pharmacy education in your country?
2) The CTF consultation strategy
A short outline of the intended consultation strategy for the draft framework is available here.
The two questions on this topic that workshop members are invited to focus on are:
- Does the proposed consultation strategy appear fit for purpose? Are there missing components?
- Please provide feedback about your association’s core needs from EAHP when commencing the task of recruiting your national competent authority for pharmacy qualification recognition to the consultation.
3) Quality assurance and management of the CTF
A short paper has been prepared setting out early considerations on the issues of a) how a hospital pharmacy CTF should be supported with quality assurance arrangements and b) be managed over the longer term.
The two questions on this topic that workshop members are invited to focus on are:
- Please provide your general feedback on the options set out
- Is your workshop group able to indicate an early preference amongst the options described?
