1) CTF

GML is still trying to collected feedback from Ian Bates on the revised timeline for the deliverables (see HERE).

GML received a request from the Swiss association on the possibility to obtain access to the mapping of the German and the Italian national programmes against CTF (see GML’s email HERE). @ PH – In case you have not yet responded to him yet, please let me know what you think.

2) Policy updates

ICU shortages – COM request

  • COM has not answered yet. A follow-up email was sent on Monday.

COM shortages tender – expert for shortage proposal

  • Feedback received from PH, SA and TS. All in favour of letting EAHP get involved.

Radiopharmaceuticals

  • A call will be held on Monday 11 May at 13.35.

Conference call with EMA

  • EMA is available on 14 May at 13.30 CEST. @ PH – Does the agenda (see HERE) cover all items you would like to talk about with EMA? I will confirm the meeting date with EMA and share the information with the rest of the Board in case somebody wants to join.

FIP

  • André Bédat Award 2020 | Kees was unfortunately not selected (see feedback HERE)
  • Meeting with FIP President | Before COVID a meeting was considered. Should this be postponed until fall 2020? @ PH – maybe a date around the GA could be considered.

Refinitiv request

  • Refinitiv (a company many focused on financial markets) reached out to me. I find it’s in between the ‘we should look at it’ and the ‘we should discard it category’. I would like your feedback on the request (see email HERE). Also, IVG would like to know if we should consider them as an exhibitor.

Request from Kees – study concerning parenteral drug guides

  • @ PH – JDG shared the following email (see HERE) with me. She asked me to add this to the policy call.

3) Board meeting follow-up

COWI Statement on hazardous drugs

  • The COWI Statement was updated (see HERE) and shared with the leads. Feedback is requested from them by 8 May.

Patient safety position paper

  • A call was held with the patient safety leads on 30 April. PP, AB and SK are currently collecting information on additional aspects for the paper. A second draft will be prepared in May.

Compounding position paper

  • SK is working on the third draft of the position, taking into account the feedback from the Board meeting. An exchange with the compounding leads is foreseen for later in May.

COVID-19 survey

  • A draft timeline and the work plan were shared with the lead. Feedback is requested from them by 11 May.

Hazardous drugs business case

  • The Board leads are currently discussing the scope of the business case.

Novartis COVID-19 resource centre request

  • @ PH and AB – could you provide feedback on the email (see HERE) that I shared with you last week?

Wolters Kluwer

  • Wolters Kluwer made a counter offer suggesting to use the jurisdiction of NY. This is also not very ideal. A discussion was started on Microsoft Teams.
  • Provided the other Board members agree with the proposal not to engage, would you be fine with not signing the contract with Wolters Kluwer?

Next policy call – in 2 weeks on a Wednesday (20 May) due to public holiday on the Thursday? Alternative the week of 25 May could be used.

All the EAHP team is working on providing a Forum that can help connect all the members in Conversations and Groups to talk about important matters for the European Hospital Pharmacist.

The Forum will be accessible for all the EAHP members, you don’t have to create a new account to browse and participate.

Conversations and groups

The Conversations will be moderated by our team to provide documents and relevant topics for the community.

The Groups will connect all members that share a category. Members who work on the same assocation, on the same hospital, that have the same role, etc.
