The EAHP Board, elected for three-year terms, oversees the association’s activities. Comprising directors responsible for core functions, it meets regularly to implement strategic goals. Supported by EAHP staff, the Board controls finances, coordinates congress organization, and ensures compliance with statutes and codes of conduct.

- Council meeting at FIP Congress: The FIP Congress is taking place from 17 to 22nd of September. Part of it, including part of the Council Meetings coincides with the EAHP Board meeting. Gonzalo will be in Sevilla for the FIP Congress. Should he also join the Council Meeting?
- FIP draft statements for Council consultation: FIP is consulting until 17/6 on the following FIP Statement of Policy on the role of pharmacy on point-of-care testing | FIP Statement of Policy on Continuing Professional Development | FIP Statement of Policy on Quality Assurance of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences education. Board leads were asked to share feedback by 8/6. SK will also review the documents by 8/6.
- FIP-European regional engagement meeting: On 21/6. AS & SK will attend.
GS1
- MoU: SK will share comments with GS1. @ AS – do we need to do another round with the Board before signing or is the feedback we already collected sufficient?
- EAHP participation at the GS1 HC Conference (Paris): @ AS did you already respond to GS1?

Speaking request – European Industrial and Medicinal Gases Association
- The chairman of the Seminar Organizing Committee of the 100th seminar of EIGA (the European Industrial and Medicinal Gases Association) reached out. EIGA is representing the majority of the European companies manufacturing and distributing industrial, medical and food gases. EIGA is organising an international seminar in Antwerp in January 2023. It’s going to be their centenary seminar and it will be a special edition with many international participants. There will be a session dedicated to oxygen in pandemic and EIGA would like to discuss about the opportunity to have EAHP as a speaker in this panel.
EPSA | Transforming Health Education: joint commitment of European stakeholders for improving competencies to support behaviour change in persons self-managing chronic diseases
- EPSA shared additional feedback (This sentence is more of a public statement, to show the involvement EAHP already has regarding the improvement of competencies, for example by working on the Professional Qualification Directive. This would also entail your support on projects that would involve pharmaceutical skills and education, as you have been doing for example by endorsing EPSA’s Methodology Booklet. Finally, this would also entail you support the curriculum and propositions made by the Train4Health Project, that you can find on their website : https://www.train4health.eu/). @ PH does this answer your question?
Exchange with EMA | follow-up
- EMA contacted SK about the shortage catalogue question from NM. This question was passed on to NM and the rest of the shortage leads.
- SK has also reached out to Torsten to inform him about the discussion with EMA on the SmPC for new antibiotics.
Update from EDQM | follow-up from our meeting in March
- 2nd webinar for the pharmaceutical care resolution: this item was discussed at the spring meeting of the Expert Committee CD-P-PH/PC (which in charge of this resolution). The delegates welcomed the proposal to organize a 2nd webinar in Q4 2022 and agreed to get back to the Secretariat with suggestions for topics and speakers by end of June. We will keep you posted.
- Blood and plasma: we have liaised internally and our colleague Richard Forde (Secretary to the European Committee on Blood Transfusion) would be happy to provide you with additional details about EDQM’s activities in this area.
- Vaccines: due to time constrains, we could not discuss this topic at the spring meeting of the CD-P-PH/PC. Nevertheless, if wished and time permitting, this topic could be potentially brought up at the forthcoming Stakeholder Day (e.g. during the discussion session). In addition, traceability of vaccines will be discussed in one of the meetings of the working group in charge of the Traceability Project.
