WG3 is currently following-up with national member associations. A call should be organised before the Steering Committee meeting. @ Joan – could you let us know about your availability.

2) Policy updates

Accreditation/ECPhA

  • Collaboration with UEMS
    A call has been set up with EAHP WG members on 16th September.
  • ECPhA meeting with pharmacy organisations
    NM is in Brussels on 13th September in the morning and this topic will be discussed. SK will report back during the call.

Shortages

  • COM meeting 23rd September
    Official invitation has been received. AS is attending with SK. Participating stakeholders have been asked to present practical solutions to address shortages of medicines. Shortages leads have been contacted.

eHealth

  • Stakeholder Group
    HKO is preparing the applications of AS and TvdS. 
 
Medical devices

  • Email from Benoît about an EAHP position in 2020 on devices
    SK has reached out to shortages Board leads.

3) Board meeting preparations

President’s guests @ Congress
The President’s guest list (see HERE) has been updated. @ PH do you already want to pick the patient organisation for category 1 or wait until the Board meeting?

EAHP’s policy priorities
Like last September, SK will add the revision of the policy priorities to the Board meeting agenda. Last year the following priorities were agreed for 2018/19:

  • Implementing the 44 European Statements of Hospital Pharmacy
  • Creating a Common Training Framework for hospital pharmacy in Europe
  • Leveraging the role of the hospital pharmacist in combatting antimicrobial resistance
  • Securing EU level action on the pan European heath threat of medicines shortages
  • Enabling the rational use of medicines for patients

4) Consultations – state of play

18/09/19 EMA HCPWP request on AMR Policy team is working on it together with AMR leads.
20/09/19 EMA consultation – Draft qualification opinion of Multiple sclerosis clinical outcome assessment (MSCOA) We won’t comment.  
29/09/19 EMA Consultation: ICH guideline E19 on optimisation of safety data collection Check relevance with JP. 
30/09/19 EMA Consultation – ICH guideline E8 (R1) on general considerations for clinical studies – Step b Clinical trial board leads
30/09/19 EMA public consultation on a draft reflection paper on the qualification of non-genotoxic impurities We won’t comment. 
09/10/19 EMA consultation – Draft qualification opinion of clinically interpretable treatment effect measures based on recurrent event endpoints that allow for efficient statistical analyses Check relevance with PP.
31/10/19 CHMP position statement on Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and plasma-derived and urine-derived medicinal products We won’t comment.

4) Miscellaneous

EU tender – Mapping and Assessment of Developments for Sectoral Professions including pharmacists
SK reached out the PGEU. No involvement is planned but Ilaria discussed it with her members this week. She promised to share feedback after the meeting.

@PH are you responding to the SIFO invitation yourself, or do you need help?

EHFG
The shortage panel at EHFG contains quite some interesting participants. Timeo Wölken is the new MEP responsible for the HTA file. Kirsten Raudsepp is one of the co-chairs of the EMA/HMA task force on medicines availability.

PPMI tender application
Additional information was requested. PPMI stopped responding.

All the EAHP team is working on providing a Forum that can help connect all the members in Conversations and Groups to talk about important matters for the European Hospital Pharmacist.

The Forum will be accessible for all the EAHP members, you don’t have to create a new account to browse and participate.

Conversations and groups

The Conversations will be moderated by our team to provide documents and relevant topics for the community.

The Groups will connect all members that share a category. Members who work on the same assocation, on the same hospital, that have the same role, etc.
